		<description>Moorestown was also involved in a partition in 1922. It was part of Chester Township, until it split into Maple Shade, and Moorestown. Before 1922 Maple Shade was referred to as &quot;The Maple Shade Section&quot; of Chester Twp. While Moorestown is well off enough to have preserved many of it&#039;s Victorian houses, Maple Shade seemed to sacrifice much of that to apartment complexes and development, I guess because they didn&#039;t have Moorestown millionaires to pay into the tax base. I think that Moorestown is pretty solidly Republican (I could be mistaken), and Maple Shade is about 2 or 3 to 1 Democratic.</description>
